UABA Versatility Award
The American Bully is a companion breed known for its adaptability and willingness to participate in the activities its owner enjoys, whether that means hitting the trails, relaxing at home, competing in dog sports, or any other pursuits. To honor and promote this well rounded nature, the United American Bully Association proudly presents the UABA Versatility Award (VA). This award was established to recognize dogs who exemplify structural soundness as well as the breed’s broad capabilities and commitment to partnership with their owners.
All voting members in good standing are eligible to apply for the Versatility Award provided their dog meets the requirements. To qualify for this title, a dog must have earned:
Three (3) performance titles in at least two different sports.
A Champion or higher level conformation title in UKC, ABKC, or BRC.
A Basic Manners or Temperament evaluation.
Once these achievements have been earned, you may apply for the UABA Versatility Award by clicking the link - or scrolling to the bottom of this page- and filling out the form. Copies of all titles must be submitted alongside the application for club verification.
A title certificate will be emailed to you once verification of your achievements has been processed. A physical copy of your title can be purchased and mailed for $10.00, or can be picked up in person at the next UABA Specialty at no cost.
All dogs earning the UABA Versatility Award will be publicly recognized on the UABA website, along with the year in which the title was awarded. Once earned, the titleholder will remain permanently listed on the UABA Versatility Award Registry, regardless of any future changes in the owner’s membership status.
*Please note that any AKC/CKC titles submitted, excluding Canine Good Citizen/Canine Good Neighbor, must be accompanied by proof of Spay/Neuter in accordance with AKC rules.
UKC Altered Conformation titles will count toward the Champion or higher requirement for any spayed/neutered dogs.

Yes. An altered American Bully can still earn this award as long as they meet all the requirements. Altered Champion titles must be earned through UKC.

No. Titles may be earned across multiple organizations, provided the dog meets the minimum requirement.

No. Titles that represent the same level of achievement in the same sport or discipline, regardless of the organization they are earned in, will only be counted once toward the requirement.
For example, a UKC United Rally 1 title and an AKC Rally Novice title would not both count as they represent the same level of rally obedience in different venues.
The intent of the Versatile Companion Award is to recognize true versatility across different sports and disciplines, not repetition of the same skill set in multiple organizations.

At this time, AKC/CKC require all dogs earning titles through the Canine Partners/Canine Companion program to be spayed or neutered. The UABA respects this requirement; therefore, any AKC/CKC performance or sport titles must be accompanied by proof of spay/neuter in order to be counted toward this recognition or listed on the website.
